Jonas Hedegaard’s PhD Defence Announced!

We are proud to share that Jonas Hedegaard, PhD candidate at Roskilde University and an institutional member of our network through the Center for Social Entrepreneurship, is preparing to defend his PhD dissertation. The defence is scheduled for January 22nd and will be defended in English.

Jonas’s supervisor is none other than Linda Lundgaard Andersen, a Professor at Roskilde University and a board member of our research community.

About the Dissertation

Jonas’s groundbreaking research explores the complex dynamics of managing hybrid organisations. Using the case of the Roskilde Festival, one of Europe’s largest music festivals powered by over 30,000 volunteers, the dissertation:

  • Delves beyond simplistic ‘best practice’ models to provide a nuanced understanding of volunteer management
  • Investigates how interwoven paradoxes arise and are managed within hybrid organisations

This research sheds new light on organisational practices in hybrid settings and offers valuable insights for academics and practitioners alike.
